Inauguration – were you new or old media?

Following on the President Obama theme from my last post – I read with interest this article by Rory Cellan-Jones on the BBC News’s technology blog dot.life entitled ‘Inauguration – were you old or new media?’ The article outlines Rory’s attempts to experience the inauguration in as many ways as possible using both new and old media.

Among other things, he watched the BBC’s TV coverage, surfed numerous news websites, followed tweets on Twitter, got social with Facebook’s link up with CNN and even downloaded the new iPhone application from Ustream to watch a live stream of the AP coverage. To find out what Rory’s experience’s were like and how new and old media performed read the article here.

Also, remember to check out dot.life on a regular basis – I think it’s one of the BBC’s best blogs… and they have quite a few to choose from that you can find at the BBC Blog Network.
